Help build up a world-class communications function
The continued development of the communication area plays an important role for KIRKBI. We aim to meet the broad need for communications support within the KIRKBI Group including Ole Kirk’s Fond and adjacent business areas. Here, you will join an organisation with a broad business portfolio and a strong set of well-established values such as quality, caring and learning, which all guide our work.


Internal and external communication, writing, advising – and everything in between
As a communication consultant, you will support the Head of Communication in proactively improving the basic communication platforms as well as creating a structured internal news flow in KIRKBI. You will be involved in internal and external communication, sparring and communications advisory. In particular, you will take on these fundamental tasks:

  • Supporting Ole Kirk’s Fond through proactively driving internal and external communication of donations in cooperation with our partners and implementing a bran new website and ensuring the tone of voice and how we meet all our stakeholders is truly reflecting who we are 
  • Work as a trusted communications partner for our Real Estate department including driving proactive communication in the local municipality of Billund as we are in the process of bringing the Billund City Vision – Capital of Children to live via many new real estate projects
  • Developing and maintaining websites for KIRKBI, Ole Kirk’s Fond and adjacent business areas  
  • Driving our internal communications in the KIRKBI Group together with the team, including identifying good stories across the Group that you apply in our news flow 
  • Performing ad hoc communication support for different teams and business areas in KIRKBI and LEGO Brand Group, including writing newsletters, project communication, PR and communications advisory


A well-stocked communication toolbox
Your personality is key in this position, as you will help to build a communications platform for KIRKBI and the Kirk Kristiansen family. Traits such as loyalty, empathy and integrity are thus essential, as well as an open minded and outgoing personality. To succeed in this position, you are eager to learn and able to read people, situations and the business at hand, while collaborating across a broad stakeholder landscape. With your structured approach, you are able to take on several tasks and projects simultaneously and apply the same high quality standards to both large and minor assignments. To facilitate this, you:

  • Hold a degree in communications at master’s level or similar
  • Ideally, have at least a couple of years of documented writing experience from a communications department or agency working with web as well as internal and external communication
  • Speak and write English and Danish fluently
  • Are curious and self-driven - and you are excited about throwing yourself head first into new tasks

The job role is a maternity leave cover for a temporary period of 8-10 months with a possibility for extension. Your will physically be located in KIRKBI’s headquarter in Billund.
