Ida Institute
Communications Manager with Global Outlook and Strategic Flair
Are you an experienced communications manager with strong strategic, organizational, and digital skills? Can you lead and inspire a small team of highly qualified communications professionals in a global environment? And can you produce high quality content in impeccable English? Then you may be our new Communications Manager.

The job
The Ida Institute is a non-profit organization working to advance person-centered practices in hearing care. We have a global network of 20,000+ members and 30 partner organizations, and we work with hearing care professionals, academics, patients, and other experts around the world to develop methods and resources that enhance the quality of hearing care.

As our new Communications Manager, you will drive our efforts to enhance awareness about person-centered care and the Ida Institute globally.

You will head our small, but ambitious communications team and manage a broad range of communications activities – from the formulation and implementation of new strategies, to the development of new channels and resources, and content production. You will be responsible for our editorial planning and ensure consistent, clear, and meaningful communications across our various channels. You will also edit and write content in impeccable English yourself.

Most of our resources are delivered digitally, and an important part of the job will therefore be to work with our web editor, IT provider, and other key stakeholders to ensure that our digital platforms and systems are well-functioning, user friendly, and reflect our innovative, person-centered approach.

As part of the Ida team, you will contribute with your communications expertise to the development of new tools and resources. Finally, you will serve as strategic sparring partner for the managing director, draft our annual grant applications and reports, and work to ensure the continued growth of our strategic key performance indicators.

As our new Communications Manager, you have:

  • a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field

  • extensive experience in communications, marketing, or public affairs – ideally from a global healthcare or life sciences company, or from an agency

  • some degree of managerial experience

  • experience in the development of communications strategy and communications planning

  • English language skills on native level combined with strong editing and writing skills

  • experience in managing agencies – both creative and technical vendors

  • experience in managing digital projects and channels

  • knowledge about the healthcare sector is considered a plus

As a person, you are:

  • well-organized and able to drive projects forward

  • a team player with strong communications skills

  • a problem solver dedicated to helping others and delivering high quality work within agreed deadlines

  • open-minded, curious, and good at working in an innovative, constantly evolving context

We offer
You will be part of a small but highly ambitious, skilled, and dedicated team with colleagues from around the world. You will interact on a daily basis with a global community of hearing care professionals, academics, policymakers, and patients. The work atmosphere is informal, creative, and collaborative, and we like to explore new knowledge and ideas as a team. We offer the possibility to work from home on selected days and always strive to support a good work-life balance.

Our offices are located at Egebækgård in Nærum in a beautifully renovated old manor house with an extensive garden. Read more at
