Are you a born storyteller and a digital native? Do you want to support Denmark’s efforts in securing a sustainable society both at home and abroad? Then you could be the communications student assistant State of Green is looking for!
State of Green is a one-point entry to all leading Danish players working to drive the global transition to a sustainable, low-carbon, resource-efficient society. We foster relations with international stakeholders interested in discussing their challenges and bring into play relevant Danish competencies and technologies that enable the green transition.
 
As a student assistant at State of Green your job will be to contribute to this extensive work by communicating the stories about green transition, whether it has to do with energy efficiency, district heating, offshore wind turbines, water purification or Smart Grid systems. We would like to strengthen the overall storytelling - both on our website, on relevant social media channels, our printed publications and in oral presentations - and you are able to help us with that.
 
 
Your work tasks will include:
  • News research, writing and editing
  • Translation of news from Danish to English
  • Formatting and publishing State of Green's weekly newsletter
  • Social media content management (Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook)
  • Photo editing (using Photoshop)
  • Recording and editing simple video productions
  • Updating stateofgreen.com
  • Giving short presentations in House of Green, our visitor showroom
  • Various communication and web support
 
Ideally, you hold these qualifications:
  • Most likely studying journalism, media or communication at master's level
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, at native-speaking level
  • Journalistic flair
  • Basic video production and editing skills (using smartphone/tablet)
  • Social media competences
  • IT/technical skills - e.g. web, social media, photo editing
  • Demonstrated interest in climate, environment and greentech
 
What we offer
We offer you an exciting position in a team with a strong team spirit that works to secure Denmark’s position on the world map in relation to the green transition. You will get the opportunity to contribute to developing our communication and marketing efforts towards international decision makers from both the public and private sectors, as well as media, think tanks and others. We are a small secretariat located in central Copenhagen, with fun-loving yet hard-working colleagues, a great canteen, lots of cake and the chance to build an international network.
 
We anticipate working hours to be between 15 and 20 hours a week with the possibility of flexible working hours during exam periods.
