The anthropologists, sociologists, economists, journalists, and designers who make up ReD employ the methods of social science to study human behavior. Our teams in Copenhagen, London, Paris and New York work together to develop deep insights into how and why consumers make decisions. We use these insights both to see the world in more compassionate and complex ways – and to identify new opportunities for our clients.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an interim Marketing and PR manager starting December 1st to join our team for a one-year contract with potential for extension while our Communications and Marketing Director is on maternity leave.
The Interim Manager will develop, implement, and evaluate communications, PR and marketing efforts across all platforms, and ensure that the brand remains consistent online and offline; internally and externally. They will work closely with ReD’s partner and COO in the development and integration into the core business of the company supporting the overall strategy.
Principal Responsibilities 
  • Work with the staff to develop story ideas that support the strategic priorities of the company
  • Work with our publicity agencies in pitching these stories to the media
  • Manage our cohort of writers and the consultants, whom are in between projects
  • Manage social media accounts with the help from our staff
  • Provide support for all media appearances, special events or campaigns
  • Support the development of internal and external marketing materials
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in communications is required; preferred experience in both the US and Europe
  • Experience with working with management /strategy consulting firms or digital agencies across sectors is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written in English, and ideally also in Danish, although this is not a required language skill
  • An eye for what makes a good story and what’s needed for it to run in a major international outlet or work in a speech
  • Adaptable and able to work in a changing environment
Placement and compensation
This is a full-time position based in our New York or Copenhagen office. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor visa applications for our NYC office, so placement of the position depends on the candidate’s citizenship, and if a valid U.S. work visa or green card is already obtained. There are no such restrictions for the Copenhagen office.
For the right candidate, we would consider remote location and/or flexible schedule.
Salary will be based on qualifications.
