English speaking copywriter/journalist for the Ida Institute (part time)
The Ida Institute is a non-profit organization working to advance person-centered care in hearing. Together with a global community of 13,000 hearing care professionals, academics and patients, we develop methods and tools that can improve the lives of people with hearing loss worldwide.
We are seeking an English speaking copywriter/journalist who will be responsible for producing content for different audiences, including hearing care professionals and people with hearing loss. The position is part time (20 hours/week).  
The job
As part of our small communications team you will participate in developing, writing and editing content for various on- and offline media. This includes articles and press releases, website texts, social media posts, campaign slogans, scripts for video animations, newsletters, brochures as well as other PR and marketing materials.  
You enjoy writing and take pride in producing texts that are clear, concise and engaging. You have a creative mindset and are good at generating story ideas and finding the right angle. Your English grammar is impeccable and you know how to produce and edit content that reflects an organization’s brand voice. You are able to assimilate complex knowledge and transform this knowledge into accessible language.
The ideal candidate has a native sense of social media and the digital space, as well as experience in working with digital data to improve outreach and create engagement. Knowledge about how to work with user journeys is also relevant to this position.
Professionals qualifications
You have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • At least 3 years experience in a copywriting/editing role
  • Experience in writing for digital and print media
  • Flawless English
The following qualifications are considered a plus:
  • Experience working with Google analytics/ SEO
  • Experience working with user journeys
  • Proficiency in content management systems
  • Proficiency in Photoshop or InDesign

  • Positive, solutions-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment where ideas will be challenged and feedback given 
  • Able to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail
