Student Assistant for FLSmidth Group Communications
We are busy developing and running the global communication in FLSmidth and are looking for a student assistant to help with internal and external communication tasks. A student job at FLSmidth offers valuable insights into the running of a global enterprise – and it could be the beginning of an exciting international communications career.
To take part in the daily work of our Group Communications department we are looking for an energetic and dedicated student assistant. You will work closely with the communications partners to make sure you gain insight in all aspects of our work and become an integrated part of the team.
You will work with a wide variety of tasks such as research, planning and execution of events, management of smaller projects, updating the intranet, writing in both smaller and bigger scale (press releases, social media content, presentations, newsletters, surveys, reports) and working on the website (editing, optimising, updating). The more responsibility you take, the more responsibility you will get.
  • study communications, journalism or similar
  • like to write
  • want to try using your communications theory in practice
  • have practical professional experience from a student job or similar
  • are outgoing and not afraid to take responsibility
  • have strong communication skills in English both orally and written as this is our corporate language
  • thrive working in a technical environment and business
  • are probably finishing your bachelor or have just begun your masters
  • offer practical experience from a big international company
  • will provide insight in communication processes from analysis to strategy and execution
  • encourage creativity as well as new ideas and input
  • offer freedom with responsibility in an environment with good colleagues where dedication and results are key
You will work 15-20 hours a week. The amount of hours is flexible both in exam periods as well as in busy periods in the department.
Deadline for applications, interviews and start
Deadline for applications is December 1st 2017. Interviews will be held in the weeks following the deadline. Start will be January 1st 2018.
